Transfer: Arteta allows two Arsenal players leave permanently

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has approved the departures of two players on transfer deadline day.

The Gunners have terminated the contract of goalkeeper Alex Runarsson.

Runarsson returned to the Premier League club after Cardiff cut short his loan spell.

The Iceland international, who joined Arsenal in September 2020, will now sign for FC Copenhagen on a three-year deal.

CBS Sports also reports that Arsenal are working on a permanent exit to Spanish club Atletico Baleares for Miguel Azeez.

Azeez was once considered one of the brightest prospects at Hale End Academy.

This deal could run to the wire and may not be concluded before the window shuts, but there is a will to get it done in time.
