Police confirm killing of four miners by gunmen in Plateau
The Plateau State Police Command, on Sunday morning, confirmed that four men were killed at a mining site by yet to be identified gunmen on Saturday evening.
The Command, through its Public Relations Officer, ASP Ubah Ogaba, disclosed this in an interview in Jos, the State Capital.
Ogaba said, “Four men who went to a mining site at Mai Farin Mota were shot dead by yet to be identified gunmen.”
According to him, “The scene was visited by the police and has been beefed up with security.”
He said investigation had since commenced to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of the four miners.
