Nigerian military kill ISWAP commander Modu Kime, foot soldiers

The Nigerian military has eliminated Modu Kime, a senior commander of Islamic State’s West Africa Province (ISWAP).   Kime, also known as Abou Maryam, and foot soldiers were killed on Thursday in Borno State within the Lake Chad precinct.   The air raid was executed at the river bank of Bisko and Tumbum Tawaye in Abadam Local Government Area.   Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions deployed by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) revealed their location.   A security officer told PRNigeria that Kime, who used phone number +22788036182, had been on the radar of Intelligence services.   The official said his communication about ISWAP attacks and activities were intercepted at different times.   “Kime operated around the axis of Tumbum Tawaye, Bisko, Garere, Arkumma and Dumbawa, Zari and Gundumbali LGAs.   “He led attacks on troops and soft targets, mostly around Damasak, Nganzai, Gajiram and outskirts of Maiduguri”, he revealed.
